little tiny cookie sandwich

Tuesday was a totally core day, except for the coffee.  yay!  I even had a core lunch at a restaurant.  The reason that was the case was that I was so startled by how off-core I was on Monday.  See?  Journaling helps me eat better.  The problem is then when I eat better, I think Hey, I'm fine!  and I stop journaling.  People do this with psychiatric medication, too (go off when they feel better), and it's not a good idea.

Thus I have already forgotten yesterday.  But I had multiple off-core items in the evening, including a special little tiny cookie sandwich with frosting in the middle.

Today:

Eggs, with a little cheese (2) and soy sausage.  Coffee (1).  Water.

watermelon

Each line is a meal.  Things with a number are off-core and have points.  My goal this week is to blog daily.

Today:

Hot cereal (mostly quinoa) with sugar (1), mix of frozen mangoes-blueberries-raspberries-blackberries, coffee (2).

Big beautiful salad at Gwinn Commons.  Dressing.  Tortilla soup.  Frozen yogurt (2) and fruit.  Coffee.  (Stamatis had pizza, fries, and flan!)

At the boring LIFE meeting:  Two mini candy bars (4), two pieces of Laffy Taffy (1), one pack of WW pretzels (2).

Turkey-black bean chili.  Cornbread muffin (5) with butter (1).  Watermelon.  Homemade pickled beets.  Salad with dressing.

Feeling satisfied and well-nourished.  Maybe a little overfull.  The best was the watermelon.  It was one of these little organic watermelons that WF has on sale for $3 each, and wow, they are so great, cold and crunchy and sweet and wet.

Statement of purpose

Every day I'll write down what I ate, core and non-core; highlight the best thing I ate; and say how I'm feeling.

Every week I'll reflect on my eating for the week.  I'll say what I did well that week, and what my goals are for the coming week.
